Introducing the Pro-Fuse™CT, the first power injectable, implantable infusion port from Medcomp®. The Pro-Fuse™CT allows patients to receive infusion therapy and Contrast-Enhanced Computed Tomography (CECT) scans through the same device, with a Power Injectable Infusion Huber Needle.
The lightweight plastic polymer is completely MRI compatible and provides up to 5cc/sec @ 300psi. This innovative technology provides healthcare professionals the ability to achieve more detail diagnosis, without further risk to the patient through additional access sites.
COMPOSITION:
The Pro-Fuse™CT is molded of a high quality plastic compound. The port is completely safe with CECT and MRI imaging.
IDENTIFICATION:
Utilizing a unique printing technique, “CT” can be visualized under x-ray, to provide recognition of the power injectable Pro-Fuse™CT device. All patients, with the Pro-Fuse™CT, receive a patient packet, which include additional identification tools.
CONNECTION:
Clear hub locking mechanism provides multiple sensory confirmations, through audible, tactile and visual features and responses. All three features provide added security to the healthcare professional to ensure securement of the catheter to the port base.
LOCATION:
The raised brim of the Pro-Fuse™CT device provides clear response to palpation of the port area, to assist in locating the septum of the port, for infusion or CT therapy.
Medcomp Pro-Pierce Power Injectable Safety Huber Needle
The Medcomp Pro-Pierce Safety Infusion Set is designed to meet the needs of today’s infusion market. This new needle minimizes the risk of needle stick injury without compromising patient comfort and the ease of use.
The CT rated Pro-Pierce compliments the Pro-Fuse CT implantable Port-enabling contrast agents to be power injected. As a result, this provides clear CECT scans and makes it easy to monitor patient conditions.

Just used one of the low profile ports (Dignity). The line is pre attached and it has a wedge shaped leading edge that helps with insertion. (see pics)

I have just seen a new version of the port that is indeed lower profile. It also has a metal connector for the line that should prevent any accidental kinking whilst pushing the line onto the connector. It comes with a 6.6F or 8.0F polyurethane catheter with the option of buying the catheter pre attached.
