Engineered for the only environment that matters: YOUR PATIENT

Patient outcome is the only true way of judging a stent’s quality. So it makes perfect sense that the Zilver vascular stent balances 3 important traits– flexibility, radial force and durability – to help you focus on providing better results for your patient.

By achieving a precise balance in these 3 key areas, Zilver helps you in your quest to deliver better patient care and gives you the peace of mind that comes with FDA approval in the iliac.

Flexible

To achieve better results, a stent needs the right amount of flexibility. Not enough, and your stent can fall victim to kinking. Too much, and your stent can lose valuable radial force. Zilver is engineered for optimal flexibility, not unnecessary flexibility. It’s a small difference, but one that can affect outcomes in a big way.

Zilver maintains a precise balance of strength and flexibility for an all-around secure stent.Zilver is flexible yet strong enough to maintain patency in the iliac.Flexible z-cell design leads to excellent wall apposition and comformability.

Strong

Strength is best in moderation. Finding the right balance is key to a successful stenting operation.Zilver provides enough radial force to maintain patency and prevent elastic recoil. But it’s not so stiff it sacrifices flexibility. Where a stiff stent breaks, Zilver bends.Zilver has been clinically proven to maintain 92.9% patency in the iliacs at 9 months.1Unique z-cell design provides adequate radial force without sacrificing torsional and axial flexibility.Horizontal tie-bars and z-cell design provide added durability and no shortening.

Durable

A durable stent takes four issues into account: axial flexibility, bending flexibility, surface polishand stent design. Each factor has been shown to affect a stent’s life span. Every Zilver undergoes rigorous electropolishing to minimize imperfections. And its excellent flexibility ensures long-lasting resilience in the iliac.Zilver has undergone 400 million cycles of pulsatile fatigue testing to achieve FDA approval for vascular use in the iliacs.3Zilver has passed 10 million cycles of bending, axial and torsional fatigue testing.Thorough electropolishing on all sides eliminates tiny particles and surface cracks.3

Complete

Flexibility. Strength. Durability. Most self-expanding stents excel in one of these key areas. Only Zilver balances all three. And it is FDA approved for vascular use. And Zilver is the only self-expanding nitinol stent that combines Flexor technology in a 5 and 6 French delivery platform.Zilver 518 (5 Fr, .018”) is available in 6 mm to 10 mm diameter sizes, with iliac indication, on a 125 cm delivery system.Zilver 635 (6 Fr, .035”) is available in 6 mm to 10 mm diameter sizes with iliac indication, on 80 cm and 125 cm delivery systems.

This is a hilar stricture we stented with two Zilvers. Opacity seems quite good. End markers clearly visible. How does anyone else find this stent ?
