Early experience with the AorfixTM graft has been described in a previous WID review.
Since then a large worldwide experience has been gained with the graft and initial learning curve issues with graft planning and deployment techniques overcome.

from M.A.Kubtan for Zenith AAA endovascular graft

posted by M.A.Kubtan on 25 February 2009 22:24:54
Dear sir, May I interduce my self as a practicing peripheral vascular surgeon in Damascus Syria, qualified in 1971 from Damascus University , and aquired the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow , United kingdom in 1980 . Currently I am residing and practicing in Damascus , Syria. Part of my practice incuding peripheral vascular dilatation using endovascular baloon and stent deployment , mostly in the Iliac vesseles and distally, from time to time I may come across with Abdominal Aortic stenosis of atherosclerotic nature which I deal with by baloon and aortic stent . So far I am at loss from the point of Abdominal Aortic Anurysm which I managed routinly by open surgery using Aorticbifarcated graft , but I am looking forwarod to employ the endovascular technic with aortic covered stent , and I have came across many cases suitable in my opinion for endovascular management , but fail to find any connection with the covered stent manufacturers. I am aware of the expected complications , but I am sure that we must make a start. I am looking forward to recieve your advice and assistance . Yous faithfully , M.A.Kubtan >
