Plaque Excision
The SilverHawk™ Plaque Excision Device, the premiere product in ev3’s full portfolio, works by removing the plaque that blocks arteries and interrupts blood flow. The SilverHawk technology uses a tiny rotating blade to shave away and remove plaque from inside the artery, instead of simply compressing it against the vessel wall. It can treat multiple vessels and lesions with a single device.

The TurboHawk™ Super Cutter blade is the newest advancement specifically designed to treat challenging plaque morphologies. Unmatched versatility is delivered by combining the Super Cutter blade with an improved drive shaft and catheter jog. Designed to treat moderately to severely calcified lesions in varying vessel diameters, TurboHawk is designed to elevate your treatment efficiency, flow, and outcomes.

The revascularization of above knee vessels including the popliteal artery is great. However i am not impressed with the results of silver hawk atherectomy for below knee vessels in the settings of acute limb ischemia. Please let know the results of others.
